Our psalmody today was a re-imagining of The Magnificat that hears Mother Mary (Luke1) and Mother Hannah (I Samuel 2) singing their songs to one another. You can listen to it here from our choir:
The readings for the Fourth Sunday of Advent are: II Samuel 7:1-11, 16; Luke 1:46b-55; Romans 16:25-27; and Luke 1:26-38.
Listen to the gospel story here:
There comes a certain point when expecting a child that there is no denying the child is coming. And then plans have to be made, nurseries furnished and decorated, bags packed, and people told. Our waiting this Advent is nearing an end, and with the proclamation of an angel, there is no denying Christ is coming! The Word was proclaimed today as we together decorated for Christmas.
